Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy Yoga is an extremely good way to support your pregnancy journey from 14 weeks to birth and beyond.

Pregnancy Yoga helps to combat fatigue, maintain and improve strength and flexibility. Pre-Natal Yoga also promotes deep relaxation and restorative sleep. By doing Pregnancy Yoga you will support your body’s ability to manage your pregnancy, and help yourself to combat some of the common ailments that pregnancy can sometimes present.

The earlier in your pregnancy you begin your Pre-Natal Yoga the better it is for your journey. The NHS also recommends Pre-Natal Yoga as a top lifestyle choice for pregnant women. The Instructor of Full Circle Heath was Leicester General Hospitals’ choice instructor for teaching ante natal yoga.

Throughout the courses with FULL CIRCLE HEALTH you will familiarise yourself with yoga exercises to keep you balanced and mobile. The research shows that yoga has a positive influence on women’s ability to labour calmly and therefore more effectively. All of this is shown to have a positive impact on infant birth weight and post natal recovery.

The focus of Pregnancy Yoga WITH FULL CIRCLE HEALTH is to connect the body with the breath through yoga movement. This knowledge of yourself, of your breath and of yoga is like gold dust not only throughout the pregnancy but most definitely when it finally comes to giving birth; The breathing techniques and knowledge of your labour stages you need will be firmly established and become an automatic response to the intensity of labour.

Baby and Post Natal Yoga

Yoga and Baby Massage are the main ingredients of the 6 week course with FULL CIRCLE HEALTH.

Babies: Baby Yoga moves enhance part of the brain called the vestibular system, which is the part of the brain that coordinates our spatial awareness, sets a foundation for good posture, balance and flexibility. Baby Yoga has great physical effects. Digestion is a most important and delicate process for newborns. While there are no 100% guaranteed treatments for colic: Relaxed holds, walking and other gently applied yoga moves soothe and calm an array of complaints including colic, gas, constipation.

Mummies: The post natal aspect of the course is also vital for mummies. Whether it is the first or fourth baby, each experience is different. Baby and Post Natal Yoga with FULL CIRCLE teaches you new ways of relaxing with your baby. Post Natal yoga helps you to tune back into your body in an appropriate and safe ways: It stimulates muscles that may not have been used for some time; Re- engages your pelvic floor and helps your body to cope with the demands of being a mum. It helps to strengthen your back, your legs and arms – as well as your spirit!
